Victoria Amplifier Ivy League 1x12 Combo, Tweed, Half Power Switch
The Victoria Ivy League is absolutely perfect for that die hard fan of the classic Fender Harvard amp, and all of our Ivy Leagues here at Humbucker Music now comes with a nifty half power switch.
We have to tell you... We're really dig the Victoria Ivy League. It's a very easy amp to get traditional tweed sounds out of. You'll find yourself jamming around on it saying, "oh, this sounds just like...", and "that sounds exactly like...", etc. You get the picture. It's just a very fun amp to play.
In true Fender Harvard fashion, the fixed bias 6v6 gives a nice snappy low end and it starts to break up and grind as the volume increases. I was checking out the video that Mark Baier (the builder and owner of Victoria) made for the Ivy League and he said, and I quote,
"It kind of gives you that cushion, that distortion cushion. You hit the note and you've got this kind of pillow of fun to ride on."
That description is hilarious. I literally laughed out loud when I heard it ("lol" to you younger whippersnappers). *BUT*, it's accurate. I know exactly what he's saying, and I agree!
