Mesa Boogie Mark V Custom Head, 2x12 Horizontal Recto Cab, Black, Wicker

The Mesa Boogie Mark V is really a collection of amplifiers. There are far too many circuits and sounds to think of it as merely an amp. It is also a living history of Mesa. From the groundbreaking MARK I that introduced the world to high-gain with it's cascading pre amp, to the Mark II - the world's first high gain Dual Mode Channel Switching amplifier and it's later siblings that introduced Simul-Class power. From the MARK III that ushered in the era of 3 Channel footswtching performance, to the MARK IV which gave all this power individual control, the MARK V is the embodiment of the last 40 years of guitar amp history.

The Mesa Boogie 2x12 Recto Horizontal cab is constructed using the finest Void-free, Marine Grade Baltic Birch in varying thicknesses of no less than 9 ply and as many as 14 ply. Super strong rabbet corners are glued and nailed and all backs are gasket sealed to ensure an air-tight seal. Baffles are fitted with superior dado joint construction and braced. Grilles are wrapped around a separate grilleboard, not the baffle board. Grille material is made of strong twisted jute dipped in a special coating that filters top end for a sweeter response.
